About Me
I am Mila Simpson, an Artist and Activities Director at a local nursing home in Enumclaw, WA, who embarked on a transformative journey from Ukraine to the United States 14 years ago. With a background in economics and a master's degree in accounting and auditing, my life took an unexpected turn when I discovered my true passion for art.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, I have found solace and self-expression in the realm of abstract art. Abstract art, for me, is not just a hobby; it is a lifestyle. It serves as a powerful medium through which I can articulate my thoughts, feelings, and ideas, transcending the boundaries of conventional expression.

One of my guiding principles in art is the fascination with the Phi number, a mathematical concept that resonates with the inherent beauty of nature and aesthetics. This numerical harmony finds its way into my work, influencing the composition and balance within my pieces.

Abstract art allows me the freedom to delve into the depths of my imagination, creating pieces that carry profound meanings. Each brushstroke on the canvas reflects my innermost self, a visual dialogue that communicates with the viewer on an emotional level.

For me, art is more than just an activity; it is a source of happiness, a means of feeding my soul, and a way of warming my heart. My creations are not merely images; they are windows into my experiences, aspirations, and the intricate dance of emotions that shape my existence.

I invite you to explore my art, to decipher the hidden narratives, and to connect with the essence of my creations. In every stroke, color, and form, you'll find a piece of my journey—a journey that began in Ukraine, evolved through economics, and has now found its true expression on canvas.

I currently have my artwork displayed at Arts Alive Studio & Gallery in Enumclaw, WA.
